Skepteon   a Greek word from which the English words skeptic and skepticism derive. The word Skepteon was used by Socrates and others to express the philosophical doctrine that:

Truth Of All Knowledge
Must Always Be In Question
And Inquiry Must Be A Process Of Doubting.


The English words have the following meanings:
Skepticism: A willingness to investigate, to question, and to demand evidence.
Skeptic: A person who habitually doubts, questions, or suspends judgment upon matters generally accepted. One not easily persuaded or convinced.
